Have any of you seen a thing of beauty like 2,001 flags flying in a field?
That’s what you’ll witness when you come to the 5th annual Covina Rotary Field of Valor this Saturday, November 5!
Come to Sierra Vista Middle School (777 Puente Street, Covina, CA 91723) at 8am this Saturday to be a part of our flag procession along Grand Ave before we plant the flags in the field.
Can’t make it? The best part is that you can sponsor a flag for a loved one that served, or is currently serving, our armed forces! Flags are only $35 to sponsor and ALL proceeds go to our veterans, families of currently deployed military personnel, and the Ontario USO!
There are events all week long as well:
Opening ceremonies begin on Sunday at 1pm.
The field is open to school field trips Monday – Wednesday with the field open to the public from 3pm-9pm.
Thursday is a community lunch at 11:30am catered by In-N-Out and a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 5:30 that evening.
Friday, the field is open all day with a Veterans Day ceremony commencing at 10am.
Saturday, November 12 at 10am the field will have its closing ceremonies.
Sunday, November 13 at 8am volunteers will be on hand to strike the field.
Volunteers are always needed for the event, whether it be to help set up, strike down, or for overnight security. Please contact email@example.com or visit covinafieldofvalor.org if you are interested! We look forward to seeing you there!
