As an organization and individuals, we believe in giving back to the community in which we live and work. We do this through several community programs.
Partee Insurance Scholarships
Everyone at Partee Insurance Associates proudly supports education. Over the years we have developed a close relationship with Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business & Economics. Our scholarships provide financial assistance to students interested in studying and working in the insurance field. Our entire staff contributes to two scholarships each year to help build the future of our industry and help students earn their college degree. It is a great honor to be able to have both scholarships presented at Cal State Fullerton’s Scholarship awards ceremony.
In 2008, the employees of Partee Insurance Associates created the Wayne M. Partee Scholarship to assist students enrolled in their Insurance Studies program. Each year, agents and staff members contribute to this scholarship honoring their employer. After the untimely death of a valued employee, Mr. & Mrs. Wayne M. Partee also created a Partee Employee Scholarship honoring Kelley Young who worked as an Account Manager for Partee Insurance for 13 years.
Operation Santa Clothes
Partee Insurance has been participating in the Operation Santa Clothes since 2000. Operation Santa Clothes was founded in 1994 by the Covina Sunrise Rotary Club to provide clothes and shoes for children in need at local elementary schools. Today the organization provides more than just clothes for children in need. Their mission is to provide for the welfare of disadvantaged children, including building self-esteem and providing the necessities of life, character development, social skill development, family assistance, mentoring, recreation, and health care.
Partee Insurance and other organizations in the local community give to this organization, in part, for a very simple reason - to put a smile on children’s face and help them make lasting memories. Each year, elementary school children are taken to a local store where they are able to pick out new clothes and new shoes. For many of them it’s their first time picking out clothes for themselves in a store.
Operation Santa Clothes has provided new clothes and shoes to nearly 25,000 children since it began. This year 1,500 children received help. Our team volunteers every year with Operation Santa Clothes in some capacity, including taking children to the store. Their enthusiasm and delight makes us all smile. It is an amazing feeling to return to the office after a morning spent witnessing the joy and excitement these children experience. We consider the opportunity a blessing for everyone, not just the children.
San Gabriel Valley YMCA
The San Gabriel Valley YMCA was founded in 1912 and has been an integral part of the community ever since. The YMCA provides residents of the community the opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle through a wide variety of programs for all ages. The YMCA is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers within the local community to help the YMCA function and thrive. Volunteers assist in the day to day activities of the YMCA, as well as the preparation and establishment of important programs.
Wayne Partee, President and CEO of Partee Insurance Associates, has devoted more than 25 years of service to the YMCA. Most recently, Wayne completed a year’s service as Chairman of the Board for the San Gabriel Valley YMCA. Serving the local community as part of the YMCA is only one way that he’s given back over the years, and the agents and staff appreciate the time and work he has dedicated to the community.
